Probably could have revised the existing storyboards...but here it is with my rough animation and the dialogue cut in!
I'm going to try and re-board a lot of stuff, like the sequence where she's walking through the forest. But this is my temporary revised animatic.
This looks great, Kristina! Nice animation! I just have a couple of minor notes:
ReplyDelete1. On the first CU of Clare in the bedroom, you may want to re-frame the shot. There is a lot of empty space over her head.
2. The perspective of the bedroom BG is a little off- I don't know if it's something you want to fix.
3. When you first see Clare's perspective of the well, the way the bucket is drawn it looks like it is floating in water. Just make sure the base of the bucket is circular.
4. The pacing is a little slow right now- I think you could tighten the editing if you wanted to.

Cool! I really like the animation at 3:17, when she's fixing her dress.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I thought it was a little jarring when she's mad at her mom for making her clean her room, then she almost immediately ends up back at the well, and the boy in the well immediately knows what she's talking about, without Claire explaining anything. I think just adding in a "What happened?" into the boy's dialogue could smooth that out.
Otherwise, looks great!
I love the bg at 1:22! So cool. This is already an entertaining and fun piece. Can't wait to see this film.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the bucket's perspective ~2:14)..for me it took me a second to figure out what it was, at first it appeared to me as us in the well looking up. You may be able to get away with only showing a small portion of it since it's up above if you want. Just an idea.
