In lieu of posting a bunch of shots separately, I'm posting a new version of my animatic. This one features all my new animation, plus a temp score by my composer and the final voices for the mother and the boy! There's still some tweaking I need to do to the timing, but it's getting fairly close to the final product. Exciting!!!
This is looking REALLY good Kristina! It is so nice to see it edited together! If you had to you could shorten the intro. Once you add the foley I think the soundtrack will come together nicely. The only section in the music that I do not think is working is from the point when she starts to climb down the well.

Oh wow!!! It's so much scarier with music!!!! You can really tell something bad is going to happen when she starts to grab the rope and go down the well - not sure if you want ppl to know just yet that something bad is about to happen - but if you did mean for that then your composer did a good job with that part!

I love ittttt and can't wait to see how it's received at the final screening. :) It's gonna be so good.
This is turning out to be a very suspenseful film. Of course the audience knows something bad is going to happen -- it would be a letdown if it didn't. The fun is in not knowing what's going to happen, or when.
ReplyDeleteWhen you do the sound mix, I suggest putting a creepy echo on the boy's voice. That will do 2 things: make it more realistic, since he's speaking from the bottom of a well; and it will make the boy scarier & more mysterious.
