Thanks for sending me the latest animatic. I think the rope break stuff is working pretty well. You may be able to get away with even fewer shots, for example the angle at 4:50 is super dramatic while the one previous is not as strong and they both tell us pretty much the same thing.
Also don't think you need both the wide shot at 4:39 and the medium shot that follows at 4:43. I'd lose one or the other.
A few other things I noticed on this viewing:
1:14 Do we see the girl moving away from the house in the wide angle? Might be nice.
1:55 You might need more vocalization from the boy after he says "Follow my voice" since that seems to be the only thing he says before Claire finds the well.
2:26 You use this OTS (over the shoulder) of Claire looking into the well 3 times. You might consider framing in a little tighter each time you come back to it, or doing a slow push in just to keep things interesting visually.
3:34 You could use more of Mom's dialogue over the animation as she walking over to take the dino toys. If she started to cross on "I'm sorry young lady..." might help pick up the pace a bit.
As always please take or leave these ideas as you see fit.
I love the details you put in the BGs. I hate to mention this, but the perspective is a little off in the beautiful BG at 1:02. It is a little distracting, and the only BG where the horizon line is too high.
