Two shots--the first is more or less done, and the second just needs to be tweened and clothed.

I've also got three backgrounds sketched out, but once again my scanner is being difficult. So I'll just bring them into class on Wednesday!

Not much to show this week...though I did get the rough final animation done on the shot where she giggles, then hears the boy and responds to him. So here's that...

In lieu of posting a bunch of shots separately, I'm posting a new version of my animatic. This one features all my new animation, plus a temp score by my composer and the final voices for the mother and the boy! There's still some tweaking I need to do to the timing, but it's getting fairly close to the final product. Exciting!!!

Sorry for the late post...anyway, here's all the footage I did last week! It's a combination of new footage, cleaning up rough animation, and re-doing old shots.

I re-animated the shot of her saying "Okay, Mom."

As per Careen's suggestion, I reversed the shot of her running into the forest. I also cleaned up the roughs.

Her coming towards the screen as she answers the boy's call, walking off the path...

I have secured both a sound designer and a composer, and everything I've heard sounds great so far!

I have five backgrounds drawn, but not quite textured enough. Hopefully I'll be able to show them in a more completed stage by Wednesday.

In the meantime, two rough shots. There was another one, but I'm still working on it because the laughing looks like she's having a seizure.

This is when she's climbing down the rope and hears the rope creak. I still have to add her looking up at the end.

This one requires more in-betweening at the end, but this is the shot where she walks off the path.

I secured a sound designer! His name is Steven Kimball and he's really sweet and seems really into the project. I'm still working out details, but he's totally on-board! So that's one less thing to worry about, at least.

My scanner is being wonky, so I have no coloured backgrounds to show yet, since I colour them in the computer. I do however have two shots to show you guys!

This one is when Claire is walking through the forest and sees the well, right before the OTS shot of the well itself:

And this one is my baby. I'm really proud of this shot, for some reason, even though it's not done yet. It's pretty self-explanatory; it's after the time lapse, when Claire is about to leave the well:

It's been hard getting myself back on track, but I'm trying to just approach it one day at a time. Right now I'm in a mad frenzy of emails, and I'm recording the mother's dialogue on Friday. Here's the rough shot I finished the other day; it's the first time Claire hears the boy, right after she is startled by the bunny:

Only one shot done this week, since I was busy stuffing my face and sleeping. This is rough animation of Claire running into the forest. Also features the first fully coloured background!
